But first...just take a good look at this wuss.
Does he or does he not look like the kind of kid who got wedgies in the locker room on a regular basis?

So let’s critique Jo-el’s latest little piece in LA’s answer to The Hartford Courant, (which is Connecticut’s answer to The Boston Globe, which is Boston's answer to Pravda).

The first line earns my contempt.
I DON’T SUPPORT our troops.
I guess he’s entitled to his opinion, but I’m reminded of MSgt. Booth from my USAF days. “Opinions are like A-holes…everyone has one, and they all stink”. Jo-el…to a “T”
Jo-el’s problem is that he thinks he funny…I think. When he actually comes across as what I imagine he is…a smug, little snot-nosed punk, who’s better suited for the French military than even the lowest most menial position in ours!
I’m sure I’d like the troops. They seem gutsy, young and up for anything.
Yup, I’ll bet you like gutsy young boys in uniform who are up for anything…little fella.
Load up on those patriotic magnets and bracelets and other trinkets the Chinese are making money off of.
Now how would you know, Jo-el, where those “patriotic magnets” and things are made? Something tells me that you don’t have one on your car. You’re much too sophisticated and self important to display any kind of patriotism…not Jo-el. Besides, China is run by what appears to be your kinda folks…you know…communists.
…saying you support the troops is one of the wussiest positions the pacifists have ever taken --- and they’re wussies by definition.
Wow Jo-el, are you telling us that you’re NOT a pacifist? Just what is it that you believe America, or anyone else for that matter should fight for?
So, if you’re NOT a pacifist yourself…just what’s the answer there?

Blindly lending support to our soldiers, I fear, will keep them overseas longer, blah, blah, blah…they need body armor, shorter stays, blah, blah, blah…
Hold on there Betty! I thought you didn’t support the troops? What do you care how long they stay or whether they’re armored enough or not…YOU’RE a wussy…remember?

…we’re sending recruits to do our dirty work, and we want to seem grateful. Something tells me, Jo-el, that you’ve never been grateful for anything this country and its associated freedoms have given you.
The truth is that the people who pull the triggers are ultimately responsible… You insipid, arrogant little toadie! They’re responsible all right…responsible for defending the freedoms of idiots like you Jo-el, who sit their on their loathsome pimpled behinds protesting honorable actions that YOU couldn’t begin to understand.
…an army of people ignoring their morality is horrifying.
News flash Jo-el…this country’s Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Forces are among the most moral fighting forces in world history. What’s horrifying is the fact that they continue to defend snot-nosed punks like you. What’s horrifying, is that we heard not a peep from your ilk as your fellow reporters, innocent civilians, and others were routinely beheaded by the barbarians you so joyfully support.
(If you DON’T support OUR troops…I’m taking it for granted that you’re sympathetic to those they are fighting).
I do sympathize with people who joined up to protect our country…and were tricked into fighting in Iraq…

simply a pathetically transparent stooge. You can’t be bothered with civic duties because you’re “above” the menial tasks of the “Red-State” classes. And you can’t even grasp the fact that, although I’m quite sure that anyone wearing the uniform, or who has ever stood a post would take great pleasure in “beating you up”, they wouldn’t. Because they understand that Freedom means even having the freedom to be a jerk…like you Joel.
(However, from the looks of you, maybe you DO have a secret desire for a little “whipping” from one of our boys in uniform…or girls for that matter).
I’m not advocating we spit on returning troops…
yes Jo-el, you ARE advocating this type of mentality. Your type is just the first…the chink in the armor…the hole in the dike. You’ll be writing the “Our Troops are Baby-Killers” story a few months from now. (NOT like the baby-killers I’m sure you DO support at Planned Parenthood).
You ARE advocating dishonoring our troops.
Find a spine…WUSS…and admit it.
…give our returning soldiers what they need: hospitals, pensions, blah, blah, blah…
